Hi My development experience are a real strange phenomena. I'm getting more and more productive as it gets later and later. Before 5pm i'm not very productive, but i found out that my most productive time is between 2am and 4am, not kidding I have no idea why this is so I must also mention that i'm still a student und such productive days are only on weekends, because i must get out of my bed at 6am during the week So how is it with you guys?

Peter, this is exactly what I went thru. I've been a night person throughout my career until just recently. Upon turning 45, I started to feel tired around midnight (which came as a great shock) and now start work around 6:30am and absolutely LOVE it! [edit] now start work around 6:30am Except for today of course (see note above). [/edit] /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Articles | Freeware | Music ravib@ravib.com

I came directly from a bohemian life in grad school to working for a conservative company in Utah. My waking hours switched from 10am-2am(next day) to 6am-9pm(same day) I was like a zombie first two weeks. :) "I believe I referred to her personality as a potential science exhibit." - Elaine, about Ellen, in "The Dog"

I think you have struck something that is real important. In your case why even try working before 5pm? Years ago I was a night owl like you are working great in the wee hours, but things have changed. Now, I'm best at going to bed really early then waking at 4:00 am and having a few coffees and finishing at about 7:30. In that short period I'll do several normal days work. Both the brain and the body are probably have a response to the time that you are working. In your case 2am-4am and mine 4am-7.3am is best for the brain. Maybe that would have been the time as a prehistoric tribesman that we would have been on sentry duty around the camp. About two years ago I heard an educationalist claim that college boys should not be going to school in the morning, as they were out of sync. Regardz Colin J Davies

Same with me, although the day-time job doesn't allow much of this anymore. for me it's 1-6 (am)

I'm pretty unproductive mostly, but I do enjoy a breakfast at 7:30 AM, nice and quiet and don't have to speak to people. Norman Fung
