I was wondering what sort of working hours people have. I currently enjoy (quite) flexible hours, but 9 - 5 seems to be my thing anyway. How about you?
I generally come in between 8:00am and 8:30am and usually stroll out the door around 6:30pm. I try not to work on weekends but every once in awhile I have to come in on a Sat. The wonderful thing about working in Bergan County, New Jersey is that they have blue laws that do not allow you to work on Sundays. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. I work on a flexible schedule, but I typically work from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every day.

Typically 8 or 8:30 to 5. Those are flexible, sometimes I roll in around 9, sometimes I stay until about 6. Although often staying until 6 has nothing to do directly with the amount of work I have, it's more of a convenience becuase there is a 6:30 spin class at the nearby gym. :-D "Fish and guests stink in three days." - Benjamin Franlkin

Normally about 9:30 to 6:00 is when I am in the office (though this can move quite a bit). I don't seem to stop working however, always solving problems and coding in my sleep!, albeit at a much reduced rate. ;) Ant. I'm hard, yet soft.

7:30 to 5:00, with lunch from 11:30 to 1:00 (I run on M-W-F, and lift weights T-Th during the lunch hour).

Being a peon I don't have to wear a tie, but slacks and collared shirt every day. I have noticed absolutely no big difference in work habits between casual or business environments. BW The Biggest Loser

I think there was a misunderstandment. We AREN'T "working contract"(-ors ?!?) We HAVE contracts as every worker or emploee has. And the standard working time is 38:30 instead of the mostly common 40. We are regular emploee of a company. Every national contract the doesn't have duration limits and has more than 35 and less than 45 hourn is a normal regular standard contract ... and it is negotiated between the sindicates. Every representation of empolee and companies, then, negotiate the details. If working on-location, usually 9-6 or 8-5; 8 full working hours with a 1 hour lunchtime. If working from my home office, usually 7:45-6:15 or so; regardless if hourly or salaried. If the company allows me to telecommute, they are rewarded accordingly by getting more time (and thus productivity-per-calendar-day) out of me, which ultimately results in better project/task times. If they want to be old-school, they get an old-school workday. Very flexible - work is on a 9/80 (i.e. work 9 hours Mon to Thurs and 8 hours on alternate Fridays) - I start between 8AM and 11AM and leave between 6PM and 11PM - sometimes I work on days off - so in actuality - instead of 80 hours per pay period, I work between 120 and 160 hours - I'm on salary, so I don't get paid for the extra hours...but I do get to keep my job :rolleyes: Steve
