"A fashion statement" is an interesting choice of words. I admit that I would probably not use gmail even when I do get an account. I also miss the synced briefcase of Win 95. Any change to email usage is now meaningless, with the torrents of spam and viruses that are now flowing online. I pray email is replaced soon, even if it means subscribing to a service from MS. I wish yahoo kept there pop services free, i miss that, ill take that over 100 MB of space since i never used over 3 MB of email space. But it doesnt matter now since some ISPs ( im using Att worldnet 56k) block all access that not the isp pop and smtp. I can get email but i cant send it through outlook or opera, ect...

You don't need to miss the Briefcase. It's still there, just not on your desktop by default. Right-click, select New-<Briefcase. There you go. Of course, if you're not using Windows then you shot yourself in the foot so you'll need to bandage it yourself! ;)
