Member status again, confused again
-
Hi *.* I just wanted to post a reply to a comment in my blog, and I the profile page showed me a member status of "gold". Well, thanks, but... why? I neither have 15 articles, nor do I have 1000 messages posted. Is there a bug in the member pages script? :-O

It's because you have 12 articles on CP. Five to fourteen articles puts you into the silver category. Also, you have 500+ messages posted, so that gives you a bonus and bumps you up to gold. Jeremy Falcon

Wow, someone actually voted you down for that! :wtf: Jeremy Falcon

Hmmm... I doubt it :suss: A good way to test it is to go here: http://www.codeproject.com/netcf/TabletPC.asp[^] http://www.codeproject.com/netcf/ShakyVoice.asp[^] and vote 5s in the mobile developer competition box ;) (doesn't work with 4s or lower, i tested it and it just does not, so dont try (please) ) Vote for me! Save the whales!

Thanks, now I got it. :) I thought the first message put me to bronze, and the next bonus-block begins with message 501, so I'd have to post 1000 messages to get gold. So there'll be nothing for my first CP-birthday. :sigh: In a few weeks I'll be registred since one year. Most members get a bonus status for each year of membership, but if I'm already gold...

Okay, that was the first part of the test. Now you have to go here: http://www.codeproject.com/cs/media/aviFileWrapper.asp ^ and vote the same, to complete the test. :suss: For additional error correction you have to read and vote everything CP has got about steganography. Vote for me! Save the whales! Vote for Whales! Save me! ;)

It is with some people, you feel like you know them forever - and it takes a lot of memory-digging to notice that it's a mere illusion (not unlike an implanted memory).
we are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is Vonnegut jr.

I am very bad at Roman numerals and as such cannot go further than X. I always wonder how you write the Part numbers in the article titles. :)) Cheers, Smitha Every problem has a gift for you in its hands. -- Richard Bach

Roman numerals are not as complicated as they look like. The digits: I = 1 V = 5 X = 10 L = 50 C = 100 M = 1000 Rule 1: No number may be repeated more than three times in a row. Rule 2: Smaller number right from bigger number: Add it. Rule 3: Smaller number left from bigger number: Subtract it. Here are the numbers 1 - 20: 01 = I 02 = II 03= III 04 = IV 05 = V 06 = VI 07 = VII 08 = VIII 09 = IX 10 = X 11 = XI 12 = XII 13 = XIII 14 = XIV 15 = XV 16 = XVI 17 = XVII 18 = XVIII 19 = XIX 20 = XX The only problem is the sorting. In the list of articles, IX (9) is placed betweenn IV (4) and V (5). So if I continue the series one day, I'll use arabic numbers. Thanks for correcting all the missing and misplaced commas in my texts, coco
