IconArt - Freeware Version It said:
"IconArt has detected that this file contains at least one 32 bit icon. 32 bit icons are currently NOT supported by IconArt and will not be manipulated correctly. :( Press Ok to continue. Note: if you are a developer and know how to use 32 bit icons, we would be delighted if you could contact us and give us a few tips! :)"So, doesn't seem to handle 32 bit icons :) Best regards, Dominik

That's quite a bit to expect for free. How about cheap, though? See Axialis IconWorkshop[^]. It's a great-looking program packed with features, such as reading and writing PSDs (Photoshop files) and can help enhance the shell (pretty much the desktop features of Tweak UI). I've used it for a long time and love it. I just design my icons in Photoshop (better than pixel-based drawing!) and export to IconWorkshop, where I add the finishing touches, compile the different res icons together and save an icon. It can also create icon libraries which are handy to move from project to project.

Thanks for the point in a nice direction. Strangely, IconArt (that was first referred seemed to start crashing when closing it. :~ I downloaded and tried the program you reccommended and it works great.
