Patience is a virtue! Perhaps CP is telling us all to slow down and relax, reflect and get back to ones inner self. :-D Ant. I'm hard, yet soft.
I'm coloured, yet clear.
I'm fuity and sweet.

I've not been here much recently, but when I have it does seem to have been a bit intermittent... It does seem to take an age to display a forum page... Perhaps with over 1,000,000 members the days of speedy access are gone...?

Seems with between 3 and 4 thousand members on line, the days of speedy access are gone ! :-D Ant. I'm hard, yet soft.

The number of active users really hasn't changed much. The vast majority of over 1,000,000 members are leeches that sign-up to download source and never return. This was mentioned a couple weeks ago too when CP was being slow again. Frankly, I blame Telus. Run a trace route sometime and see where the majority of lag is.

I have had intermittent access problems. I though it was somthing to do with the proxy server I was connecting through obviously not if others are having difficulties. Ah well. At least I still get the pages eventually. Regards, Brian Dela :-) http://www.briandela.com IE 6 required.

I mean hotmail or yahoo or something would terminate your user account if you haven't used it in like two months or something. Granted we're not giving anyone memory space or something. But it might be a good idea to clean out the accounts to know how many people really use it. (and how many signed on this one time and never returned). I have a feeling we'll be pleasantly suprised. Ramanan Sivan wrote: Not in a very good mood are you Um, I'm only stating fact. And these aren't just my words, either. Look at the previous discussions I mentioned on this same subject and you'll see, IIRC, that even Chris (the site admin) stated as much. It's the active count that matters, and that really hasn't changed. Maybe deleting old accounts would be a way (perhaps if they haven't posted any messages in the forums or something), but you should suggest it in the Suggestions forum.
