Most of the people in our office decided to take the day off to have a four-day weekend. As a result, we can't work on our biggest contract for the day, and everybody is running around like a clueless monkey. One of my coworkers got frustrated with the confusion going on in the office today. She now just keeps telling people, "Whiskey tango foxtrot, Skipper." Has anyone else ever heard of this before? I love it! :) Anyway, I hope my fellow CP'ers enjoy their hard-earned time off work this long weekend. Cheers! :-D

Whiskey tango foxtrot does not ring any bells for me. However, those three words are standard International Phonetic Alphabet used by pilots and air traffic controllers to communicate with each other; rather than saying W, T, and F, they say whiskey tango foxtrot. Knowing that it could be an expansion of WTF might give your enquiry some direction :) Jason nirgle@gmail.com SonorkID 100.611

Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot" is an example of phonetic alphabet, used by the military and film industry to denote letters to avoid confusion between similarly sounding letters ("P" and "B"). Examples are saying "3-Alpha" or "4-Bravo" instead of "3A" or "4B". Broken down by letters, "Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot" is "WTF", also an internet communication short-hand for "What the f***".
