      I have finally succeded at reaching the internet from my linux system. WindowsXP is totally uncooperative, i have had to remove it entirely. I may never go back! MS:);P I am sitting in my flame proof buncker, so don't even bother. by the way, perl stinks.

      maybe my standards are too high:), but all i wanted was for windowsXP to co-exist with linux on the same 80GH drive. It works for a while b4 windows forget how to load itself. I am sitting in my flame proof buncker, so don't even bother. by the way, perl stinks.

        486? if that has anything to do with the hardware i have, i must say my hardware is top of line.:) I just bougth my PC: Compaq Presario SR1000T customize PC - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 3.00E GHz/ HT + 1MB L2 cache - Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Home Edition - 512 MB DDR / PC3200 (1 DIMM) - 80GB 7200 rpm Ultra DMA Hard Drive - 8X DVD+RW/+R drive (DVD writer & CD-writer combo) - 9 in 1 Card Reader, 3 USB, + Front Audio Ports - 3.5 in. 1.44MB Floppy Drive - 128MB DDR NVIDIA GeForceFX(TM) 5200XT, TV-Out - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS card w/Front Audio ports - Compaq Home Professional Keyboard and Opt Mouse - Altec-Lansing VS2121 2.1 Speakers I am sitting in my flame proof buncker, so don't even bother. by the way, perl stinks.

                Coexistance can be reached trough Virtual PC (XP as host VPC can run whatever you want, worked out of the box for me :P and makes it more easy to switch between my office network and my WLAN at home ) regards
