So much for double negatives. :) "One of the Georges," said Psmith, "I forget which, once said that a certain number of hours' sleep a day--I cannot recall for the moment how many--made a man something, which for the time being has slipped my memory."

Gary Kirkham wrote: Who is David Blunkett and why should I care? Blunkett is the British version of Ashcroft, but worse. The "Lifetime Menace" award was recently named after him because he's the most ridiculously authoritarian, totalitarian Home Secretary ever in the history of the UK. So anyone winning that award (in this case, the US VISIT system, not the US) is in dire company indeed.

Ian Darling The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity ... that such complexity can arise ... out of such simplicity ... is the most fabulous extraordinary idea ... once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened - it's just wonderful ... the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned - Douglas Adams

I have had Honda cars sitting in my driveway since 1990. I think a motorcycle trip through Europe would be a fine way to spend some time. I could go on, but my original post was about people assuming that everyone knows who and what they are talking about. Ian answered that very nicely.
