prev and next
-
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem, but I sure am :-O I just cannot tell the difference between Prev and Next at the bottom of the page. Sometimes I would think it is Next Page (older thread) and Previous Page (newer thread), other time I'd think it as Next thread (newer) / Previous Thread (older), or sometimes even other intepretations. Anyone else got this problem too?

It's not just you, I have that problem on pretty much every email and BBS site besides CP. I read CP so much that I know its version of Prev/Next. ;) PHPBB is the worst offender, it has different meanings for Next/Prev in different parts of its own interface X| --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- #include "witty-quote.h"

Never really had that problem as long as I see what end of the list I am at. CP for me is always new to old, so Prev/Next make sense I guess. Of course, I am old so anything goes ;) Rocky <>< www.HintsAndTips.com www.MyQuickPoll.com www.GotTheAnswerToSpam.com

Never had a problem with it. But I do have a problem with the navigation bar at the top. The one that should contain Help! Articles Message Boards Storefront Lounge more than half the time is blank. When I'm viewing the Lounge during peak times I often want to refresh the first page to see what new items have been posted while I was reading the bottom of the page. Since the "First" link is disabled on the first page, the "Lounge" link is the best way to refresh. Most of the time, though, it doesn't load and to get back to the top of the page and view any new additions I have to leave the page then return next time the links decide to render. Very irritating... grrrrrr. "My kid was Inmate of the Month at Adobe Mountain Juvenile Corrections Center" - Bumper Sticker in Bullhead City

That's a good idea. Sometime in the middle of the lounge posts somewhere you want to get to the top again but there's no link from that page to do so. I have to retype www.codeproject.com/lounge.asp  "One of the Georges," said Psmith, "I forget which, once said that a certain number of hours' sleep a day--I cannot recall for the moment how many--made a man something, which for the time being has slipped my memory."
