Hibernate, disadvantages?

Hi, I used windows xp professional. Because everytime that my computer startup and log on is to slow, I decide to choose hibernate everytime that I want to shutdown my computer. When I continue to work, it start again and it is faster than I turn on the machine from shutdown. If I still continue to use hibernate forever, is it have any disadvantage to my system? no, i guess not. for sure all your ram memory will be stored in the harddisk then loaded agian, but it shouldn't couse any harm to the harddisk!
