So I googled myself. ...Nick Seng, a Cambodian-born dealer at Hawaiian Gardens .... I guess my secret's out then. :suss: What do you get when you google yourself?

Curiously at the top of the list for me at the moment is an entry in Megan's blog http://forbesweb.typepad.com/poetryinmotion/2004/07/digital_photo_q.html[^]

Up to a couple of years ago google would find about 30 results for "Niall Barr" starting with my home page, and mostly referring to me. Now it finds about 1770 results, almost all referring to someone else. I'm going to have to start a blog to improve my profile!

If I don't use my middle initial, I mostly get pages about an actor and a lawyer with my name. With my middle initial, my one-and-only CP article is half a dozen items down, and my home page is a little below that. Booooring. I need to start a pr0n site for computer geeks or something. My site is first (w00t), followed by a whole wodge of other "Ian Darling"s who aren't me: An editorial writer An Ombudsman at some college somewhere in London A Sydney investment banker Some other Aussie guy playing sports A guy who did a film on Warren Buffett Some guy who does some sort of vampire roleplaying Another Aussie who does "Waste Management" :~ A member of the "Culbin singers" in Scotland A chartered surveyor A "Dawson Creek Municipal Airport Manager" Some guy involved with the UK's Countryside Agency A prosecutor for a case involving two men related to the Stephen Lawrence murder The Chief Executive of Tynedale Housing Limited in Northumberland. The guy who wrote the book "Go Ask Dad" A guy who wrote a paper called "Action Evaluation and Action Theory: An assessment of the process and its connection to conflict resolution" A professor at "Wilfrid Laurier university" A load of people who'd written "Ian Darling", meaning "Ian, Darling" And then I got bored and stopped. But at least I'm the Real, Most Important, Ian Darling ;P

Ian Darling The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity ... that such complexity can arise ... out of such simplicity ... is the most fabulous extraordinary idea ... once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened - it's just wonderful ... the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned - Douglas Adams

So I googled myself. ...Nick Seng, a Cambodian-born dealer at Hawaiian Gardens .... I guess my secret's out then. :suss: What do you get when you google yourself?

8 of the first 9 links are to my stuff (or references to it) on Code Project. Do I never do anything else?

Unless I am much mistaken, *ALL* links are to items I have initiated in one way or another. All but one of them are in CodeProject :-D I ought to submit my homepage to search engines as it is not found at all! :(( Ant. I'm hard, yet soft.
                                          I'm coloured, yet clear.
                                          I'm fruity and sweet.
I'm jelly, what am I? Muse on it further, I shall return!
