We have some of these Gyration Ultra Professional Optical Suite[^] for our marketing trade show machines - really cool being able to navigate screens by moving a mouse (that has a built in Gyroscopic motion sensor) thru the air. Steve

Well, I have a few new toys at the moment, but king of the heap is definately my Microsoft cordless desktop pro, which is a wireless split keyboard and mouse. It's unbelievable how sexy this thing is. I'm interested to know what sort of keyboard people use, so I thought I'd call a poll. If you use a proper split keyboard, vote 5, and if you are using a traditional, RSI inducing keyboard, vote one, and go see a physio. I have been shopping around for a pocket pc. I cant wait to pick one up! I just bought a new cell phone with bluetooth so I can use the pocket pc (once I purchase it) to connect to the internet through my phone. I am just dying to get a pocket pc, I think they rock! :)

I have an ipaq, and it rules. It's the 5500, and it has a fingerprint scanner for security. It works really well, and is a lot more geeky than a password. If I was going to do what you want though, I'd buy an O2, so I had the phone in the pocket PC. Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder

I use MS Natural Keyboards both at work and at home, and feel uneasy when I have to switch back to a "standard" one. Is the cordless option really useful for a keyboard?

Whatever happened to Microsoft's keyboard with the scrollwheel-thingy on the left side (this one[^])? I'm very intrigued by the idea of a scrollwheel on a keyboard, but I never had a chance to try it out...and none of their latest natural keyboards have it. I'm not going back to a "plain" keyboard either, wheel or not. And I don't want a wireless keyboard/mouse. My MS mouse was eating through batteries on a monthly basis, and I hated it. For that matter, I don't need an additional mouse at all...no combos for me. ...and I can live with a wired keyboard. ...oh, and MS has to stop messing with the layout and location of the cursor and Home/End/Ins/Del keys with each new keyboard... Am I asking too much? I expect my original Natural Elite (had it since 1994!) to die any minute now...
