...or maybe the audience has looked at Kerry's attendance and voting record in the Senate. Face it, as bad as Bush is - Kerry leaves a lot to be desired. Interesting photo. It looks like the dark-haired one is controlling the blonde from the back. Although looking at the expression on the blonde one's face, you've got to wonder where the hand it. X| Michael CP Blog [^]

The situation was that MTV sold tickets to the public so it was not a media controlled event. Makes all the difference in the world. Maybe / maybe not. According to my children (both teenagers and sometimes MTV viewers) there has been a lot of MTV air time spent encouraging people to register to vote and to get involved. Maybe a few took the hint. It was not a simultanous thing (Kerry, Bush), but close. Personally I think the crowd was pissed that politics was injected into a party. Interesting link, thanks. I espeecially enjoyed the quote: "It is amazing that with all these diverse attitudes, we are still a united nation," fyi - I live about 2 miles north of Harrison's home. Mike "liberals are being driven crazy by the fact that Bush is so popular with Americans, and thus by the realization that anyone to the left of center is utterly marginal." Now Chris, that's a lame argument; I expected much more from you. Where's the link to the demographic information that's tied to the tickets sold? Where's the funding records from GWB's bank acct to pay for the hired jeer-makers? I guess the BBC or CNN hasn't posted their leads yet, no? Face it, the only things the dems are running on is the "well, we're better than bush" BS. Look at it this way, when it comes down to choosing between Bush or Milwaukee's Beast, I'd take a Bush any day! ;P OP
