Internet Explorer 6 Freeze?

Why does my Internet Explorer 6 freeze everytime i click a link? It just freezes (and freezes windows with it) for about 20 sec and resumes normally... I'm under WinXP pro...I didn't have the problem when i first installed it...I think this is a common prob...does anybody know anything about this issue?

I don't think that its a common problem but you might want to run some spyware checking software to see if you have something installed that is maybe tracking your usage and movements. My neighbor had a few things like that on their computer and it slowed it down alot. Ad-Aware [^] Spybot [^] Steve Maier, MCSD MCAD

Actually i AM ysing FireFox 0.9...it's really awesome and I get used and attached to it very quickly. The really bad thing about it is that it doesn't really handle javascript very well...Actually I noticed that only ie handles those perfectly...I hope they fixed that in 1.0PR...did you try it?
