Anybody got or used the Motorola V600? What are your impressions of it? I love my little Nokia 3310 but it is just not hacking it anymore. I get 20 texts a day at least and the poor thing can only store about 10 at a time. So it is time for an upgrade and the Motorola V600 is about the only new phone out there that looks half decent. The MPX200 also looks great but it's overkill for my needs. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: "Gassho rei, Watson-san!" Crikey! ain't life grand?

I have an MPX200. Just don't go there. 4hr (on standby!) battery life, awful, awful user interface and lacking in features you'd expect from a decent phone. Go the Nokia 6230 or Sony T630. cheers, Chris Maunder

Thanks for the heads up on the MPX200, pity that. I'll go fondle the 6230 (Nokia woot!) and the Sony if they have them in the store. Not the prettiest phone that 6230 though... I am so shallow :-D regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: "Gassho rei, Watson-san!" Crikey! ain't life grand?

I'd second the SonyEricsson T610 or T630, a great phone! Rado

I have the V600 and love it so far. I have not dropped it, but am experiencing some cracks along the silver edge of the faceplate. In fact, I replaced my first one a week after I got it for the same thing before I learned that it was not going to be any problem other than cosmetic. Picture quality is pretty good. Nice to always have a camera handy. I tried the Motorola BlueTooth headset also. I liked the voice quality, both send and receive, but the darn thing did not feel secure on my ear. I always felt like it was gonna fall off. This also affected volume so back it went. I was going to try an other brand but decided I could not really justify the $100 for a headset. Consider this a thumbs up for the BlueTooth functionality. Text messages have worked great. I can't seem to get MMS working but that may be a problem with setup that I have not addressed yet. I thought it was just supposed to work.

I'm quite happy with my Nokia 3100. It's somewhat more modern than the 3310, with much more memory, colour screen, etc. My blog.
