sometimes it is nice to actually see a photo of where we all work and what we look like. So here is a back shot of me in the "management" office. As you can see I am, patriotically, reading something on CodeProject. Also as the evidence proves I am clutching a cup of coffee in my left hand. *twitch* need caffeine. Also here is a shot of our management team in front of the chopper we went up in as part of the office christmas party day. I am second from the left (guy with glasses and a goofy hair "style".) I want to see some of you actually working and in your offices. * excuse the quality of the photos. I see now why APS is not such a good format and also I decided to keep the size of the images down with a bit of JPEG compression. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? Just email them to me and I will give you the URL*. Normally we all wear black suits, white shirts and indigo ties, every day, all day.... ;P No actually we got a whole bunch of new company shirts on that day and thought it was good marketing to wear them on our day out. (the big Bluegrass on the back of the shirt made some people at the Waterfront think we were part of a film crew. the one girl asked if I could get her a part in the film. Man, if I was not attached I would have played along!). The khaki shorts can be explained quite easily: We are all South Africans. On hot days South Africans wear karkhi shorts, nothing else. It is a cultural thing and totally unplanned. Damn we are nerdy huh? :-D regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? Having looked at the two pictures, I have come to the conclusion that you are *not* a bonifidi developer for the following reasons: 1. Your desk is too tidy. 2. There is a MAC on your desk. 3. You are doing something mildly related to programming. (i.e. this site) :-D There are some pictures of me on the net under the news section on our compant web site. He got it from the amiga/ST game (I have personally completed RD2 with no lives lost! tis difficult) My normal nickname is RIGamortis, which originally can from arcade games putting in my initials (ye olde 3 letter names...). I extended it to RIGamortis when I used to write demo code in assembly on an Atari ST. Nothing of mine ever really went mainstream. The best things I did was a Repton 3 clone (the BBC boulderdash game). All BBC R3 maps sould work in it if you copied them across. You could also design all the characters used in the game. The sound samples I did for it sound rather poor and get really annoying after a while, but its a good tough game. It also had a level editor and was overscanned so that it could display the right amount of display area. If any body has an ST emulator, I could did out the .exe disks and you could have a play with it. I could possibly also supply the assembly code source for those who are interested. Roger Allen aka RIGamortis

Not your average bluegrass band :-D They are really our company shirts though. We got a golf shirt style and also just a normal t-shirt style. We did a website for a shirt maker and we then subsequently got some good rates from them for small orders on shirts. I don't know the exact figure but they came out to, shirt and embroidery included, about R90 (USD$6.9 ) a shirt. The problem is that if the shirts arent for us then they take a minimum order of about 5000 shirts. Just a tip but if you want shirts then try CafePress. You can design the shirt (or I can help out if you want) and then setup a free online store. You can order your own shirts at cost price (about USD$16 I think). I made some of my own shirts for the heck of it and it was really easy. (hey Chris, if you read this then note that CafePress seem to be using ASP.NET now. All their pages are .aspx files :-D wOOt!) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? Okay, I probably shouldn't do this, but ... (not intended for young viewers :) ) http://members.home.net/chrismeech/Cottage/ChrisOnDeck.jpg This isn't me at work, but rather when I get away from work. I especialy like to relax with an amber beauty and a cigar. My cottage provides the perfect location for just those activities. Chris Meech

Can anybody else view the image fully? When I view it it only downloads half the pic and then IE says "done". Which is obviously wrong. I have seen this happen on other sites too, not a lot but more than enough to irritate me. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? sometimes it is nice to actually see a photo of where we all work and what we look like. Ok, well this is me, albeit a few (read: too many to remember) years back. Weeee. If anyone really gives a crap, I'll post more when I have 'em. J

You wouldn't be running the MS Censor addin for IE would you. ;P After all it is a bare chested shot. You might also try to FTP the file and then view it locally. I'll have to put up some Christmas shots next week. Everyone can have a good laugh at some of those. Chris

I've always looked like a goody-two-shoes. If I can find them, I'll scan some pics of me when I was in school (almost 30 years ago!).
