For your viewing pleasure: "For those of us in the shareware industry, a constant frustration is the almost total lack of statistics about who we are, how much money we make, what else we do, and so on. To address this problem, the Association of Shareware Professionals has conducted a basic demographic survey of its membership." http://www.asp-shareware.org/polls/sept04poll.asp[^] -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder

Kind of sad. Out of all the members only 344 responded. Of those only 86 make over $50K per year and even worse, only 7.3% (25 members) make more than $250K per year. Given that 31 members have 5 or more employees. Of course there are 227 members that have no employees and 151 (44%) members have failed to break $5K for the entire year. I guess you have to aim to be one of the four that claim to have broken $1 million ;) Thanks for the post, was interesting.. Many of the lower ones are either just starting out or they are content with being at that level (i.e. they have a "day job" and just do it for an extra bit of income or for the "fun" of it) Rocky Moore wrote: Thanks for the post, was interesting..
