Doesn't really matter to me. I just get pissed when a link doesn't have a [^] and it opens in a new window anyway. I just use Shift click if I want a new window.

This demographic will quite happily click on shiny things however:laugh:

Found on Bash.org [erno] hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is.

What rips my shorts is links that have the [^] but open in the same window.

Hi Mark, welcome :) The [^] started when people were making links that opened a new window with no warning. One of the regulars Paul Watson complained, saying that it should be the user's choice whether to open a new window (by holding Ctrl when clicking). Soon after, folks started making hyperlinks with the [^] appended so the reader could choose between the same window or a new one. When you post, you can make a clickety (our name for hyperlinks) with the link[^] button in the formatting toolbar. --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- Shots do not hurt other players... yet

There is a toolbar icon that can generate it, but it only works with IE. So I say, don't put [^]'s on your clicketies if you are using FireFox - that way, maybe the CP staff will be further motivated to find some sort of solution that works with both. :) An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

Oh yeah, definitely worth seeing, very good sequel. The first one, IMO, just edges out the sequel but it is so close as to not be worth debating.
