Setup IPX
-
I just treated myself to a copy of Red Alert 2 and I want to play network but It needs an IPX network. Does anyone know what I need to do to set one up? -:suss:Matt Newman:suss: -:suss:Matt Newman:suss: -Sonork ID: 100.11179:BestSnowman

IPX is for netware networks. just go to the Network Neighborhood and setup a new client. you should see the client for netware networks right there. just click on it and you should be all set. If you don't find one, go to the netware web site and download the client you need. As to the login in and such, you will need to know where you are loging in, etc. Rodrigo.

Wow. No configuring IP etc etc. This is easier than I thought. -:suss:Matt Newman:suss: -:suss:Matt Newman:suss: -Sonork ID: 100.11179:BestSnowman

There is no IP because IPX is for local networks and keys off of your network cards MAC address. However, you won't be able to play on the internet without some intermediary program. I forgot the name, starts with a 'K' I think. From an internal company e-mail November, 2001 -- "Would the person who stole the ethics training manual from the class last Friday please return it."
