Good grief. I just accidentally clicked the mouse while moving it with Thunderbird open, and my message folders, like Inbox, have completely disappeared from the view. I can't seem to find any menu option to get that message folders view back. Any ideas? Marc MyXaml Advanced Unit Testing

Something somewhat similar happened to me the other day. Program seemed to stop checking mail, everything on the view was static and things were disappearing. I changed back to the default theme and it got fixed. I don't know if you are using a non-default theme though.

If nothing else helps, you can restore the folders manually. You know, all your mails are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\yourProfile\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\yourProfile\Mail\accountName Check this folder, and if "Inbox" and "Inbox.msf" are still there, copy them to "Local Folders". Open Thunderbird again, you should see your "lost" mails in the "local folders".

You probably didn't have time to read all those messages anyway and it worked that out for you and got rid of them. Very clever stuff.:-D Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows www.getsoft.com and coming soon: Surfulater www.surfulater.com

I got the problem once, the vertical separator between the panes was moved to the extrem left of the window, hiding then the folder pane :-O Clicking on the left side of the window and dragging it to the right solved the problem.
