Nah, I'm not going to do that until I get around to re-building the site using proper CSS rather than the horiffic nested tables it uses at the moment :sigh: -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit! Phoenix Paint - back from DPaint's ashes!

Give yourself a tap on the back then in the knowledge that you've started the site rebuild proper.

Careful when you do. Netscape and Foxfire do not properly implement all the CSS2 standards. God knows we don't want to offend the "alternative" browser crowd by scripting to W3C standards. :P Best, Jerry

I just spent my lunchbreak re-coding the perl that runs the blog on my site so that it reads in the layout html from a supplied text file rather than having the html embedded in the script (meaning it's now closer to being properly reusable) Which has the end result that my site now.. ..looks exactly the same as it did before I made the changes (but at least I know it's working nicer now!) -- Help me! Well done Benjy, we all think it is awesome. Of course, trying to explain it to anyone non-technical will be futile. Yeah, I get that with my fiancee - a complete inability to understand why I'd want to spend hours on end sitting and tinkering with stuff and keep changing the layout in subtle (but mostly unnoticable) ways Oh well, I spent four hours sat watching Disney movies with her yesterday, so she can't complain too much ;) -- Help me! *sucks air through his teeth* dunno what I'm allowed to say (Google is pretty strict on not talking about participation in Adwords) So I'll make this text invisable, so it's not actually here. right I haven't earnt enough yet to actually be sent a cheque (payout happens at the end of the month when your balance reaches $100, and after six months I'm at roughly half that) - so it's not a huge amount of money - but it'll pay for a couple of month's worth of bandwidth charges (assuming I ever get paid) if someone accidentially managed to somehow select that block of text to make it readable, then I'm sure it wouldn't be my fault!! ;) -- Help me! I've been there...I did something very similar with my journal a few months ago when I converted the published output from Blogger from HTML to XML and used PHP to transform it server side instead... To the casual obserer, the only change that's noticeable is the fact that there's an RSS feed on it now. ;) Anna :rose: Homepage | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up.
