I never realised how much I relied on it. :sigh:

Yeah, Microsoft do (don't know if anyone else does - Logitech do, I think). I've got one...but I rarely use the side-to-side feature. The wheel is...strange, as well - not like others I've used. It moves a lot more easily, but isn't sloppy. Stuart Dootson 'Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p'

That looks cool. Pity they don't seem to have it on their trackerball products. I can't use a mouse for more than 5 minutes without getting painful sensations in the back of my hand and wrist.

That rings very true in my space as well, but wherever I go, there is Visio. Aside from the fine looking (yet to try) CDiagramEditor here on CP, what other free/inexpensive CAD tools are available? We mustn't forget that Visio is a diagramming tool, not really a design tool. Sometimes Visio should also remember that. Learn which South African airlines never to use on my blog.

On Sunday night, while I was working late on a high priority task, I opened my mouse to clean the little pressure wheel inside (the one without sensors). While attempting to hack the dirt of with a blade, suddenly the wheel shot of and I heard a rattle inside the mouse. I was screwed. I hadn't worked much on Friday because I knew that I would make good progress on Sunday. With slim hope I opened the mouse up and found a small axel inside. Imagine my delight when I found that the axel clipped back into the wheel bracket, and nothing was broken. This is a small miracle in todays disposable technology. I never realised how much I relied on it. :sigh:

The wheel on my mouse at work (a puny IntelliMouse Explorer v3 with the wussy little side buttons X|) needs a kick, or at least a relubrication, because it sticks and refuses to turn unless I apply serious force to it. And my IM Explorer v1 (with MANLY big side buttons) here at home is still humming right along... --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- Wizard needs food, badly!
