So how are you all falling into 2002? I am taking it easier this year* with a braai (BBQ, barby, Meat-Burning-Device) to get warmed up and then a big party with 5FM (the best local radio station) at Ratanga Junction (think Disney Land only the african version i.e. small). They have a very cool laser rig there and a great dance floor all under the African sky. It is going to be good. So what about you? * after having finished 3/4 of a bottle of Vodka last new years eve I have made sure I am the designated driver tonight so I have an excuse to save a few brain cells. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? Games, great food and good music with the wife, kids and a few of their friends. But we have a while until we start - it's only 10:30AM CST here so we still have over 12 hours to go... :-D :-D :-D

Looks like Bob is partying up a storm! Although I can't quite tell what's in the bottle he's holding. Hey Chris, where is Bob's party and why didn't I get an invite??

Nappy Yew Hear, Chris! My local pub is hosting Karaoke tonite, so I've been preparing a 'special' CD for the event, featuring yours truly on the twelve-string lap fiddle, and a variety of tunes with improbable lyrics. Perhaps I can frighten a few of them home before the witching hour! If that doesn't work, I have a backup plan. They tend to set up the equipment in front of the dartboard, so I'll be packing my favorite lances. I love the expressions on the singers' faces when I sling a hat trick into the bull over their heads:-) Some of them don't even break their rythms! Others, of course, tend to wet themselves - always good for a laugh! Whilst I await that late night entertainment, though, I'm heading out into the desert to ventilate some tin cans. Got me a couple of new firearms that I'm itching to try out! Been thinking about going to work for the Postal Service...:-)

Since I'm still single (thank goodness...) I'll be heading up to Athens, Ga (University of Ga - huge party school) for the festivities. Some friends of mine apparently have the inside track on a huge party being thrown in an old warehouse up there. I'm not much for huge parties, but it will be better than the last two new years that I spent in Jacksonville, Fla because of the Gator bowl (which Ga Tech was playing in both times). Still about 11 hours to go until 2002 for the east coast US. Happy new year to all those around the world who've already crossed into 2002! -- Russell Morris Georgia Institute of Technology "WOW! My wife and I are going to a party in Old San Juan to the El Morro Fort. I understand that all of the waiters will be dressed in costumes of the times (1492 - 1550) and will be alot of role playing. Should be alot of fun. Rolando E. Cruz-Marshall Puerto Rico

New Year - who cares ?
