Most people can't spell and/or pronounce the new word (which is a malayalam word incidentally). Nish p.s. When you were in Trivandrum, which hotel did you stay at?

Can't remember where we stayed in Trivandrum - only spent one night there before heading on to Varkala. Malayalam is a very curly language :)

Today is the date of formation of my state Kerala. Long, long ago [can't remember the year], Kerala was formed by merging all Malayalam [official language]- speaking areas. In other words, today is Kerala's b'day :). Not a holiday, nor a special day for the common man, but lots of activity by the politicians and the literary people. All men and women [mostly students and working people] wear traditional dresses and that is a great sight. Happy birthday Kerala! Thanks Shog! BTW, in Kerala, beer shopes are closed [by Govt. rule] on the first day of every month. Cheers Smitha Every problem has a gift for you in its hands. -- Richard Bach

That's not so bad - in Colorado (where i now live), the law forbids shops to sell beverages with greater than 3.2% alcohol on Sundays.
