My typical crusing speed in germany is about 220 km/h. However sometimes I drive at my cars top speed which is 250 km/h (Its electronically limited :-( ) I also do gliding since more than 15 years and I fly sometimes a 'FOX' which is an aerobatic sailplane for some fun. There is my top speed about 300km/h IAS (Indicated Air Speed) bb |~ bb

This summer I had my Fuji[^] racing bike up to 63 kph. Trust me, that was scarier than when I drove an F2000 car at 180 kph. And I regularly drive my '92 Jetta diesel at around 120 kph. :) Chris Meech I am Canadian. Already corrected it, 320 kph seemed a bit much to me also :) "If I don't see you in this world, I'll see you in the next one... and don't be late." ~ Jimi Hendrix

                >This summer I had my Fuji[^] racing bike up to 63 kph X| Bloody scary indeed. Durban, where I used to live as a kid, is well known for it's insane hills and while tailing my mom's car one morning on the way to school I got my mountain bike up to 50kph. I arrived at the traffic lights with white knuckles and a screaming mom. Glad I didn't stain my school uniform. Fun but scary, never again. regards, Paul Watson South Africa Michael Dunn wrote: "except the sod who voted this a 1, NO SOUP FOR YOU" Crikey! ain't life grand?

Heh. Mach 1.03 during Pilot training in my T-38 Supersonic trainer. 1984 (20 years ago, last July). Yes, I was at the controls. Boy, did it feel undramatic. Not even a ripple or anything approaching what happened in "The Right Stuff". Controls felt a quite sluggish compared to the snappy turns we could make below Mach. About 250 kph (over 155mph) on my daytona (triumph motorcycle) On a normal UK A road. The speed limit for the road was 96 kph or 60 mph as we like to say in the UK so it was a bit naughty. to be honest once you get over 100mph things get really scary so i wont be doing that again. I was on a quiet Roman road near Litchfield, I first checked it was clear though! The main problem I had was stopping, it took a long time.

 You are of course correct, I meant (I think, it was about 14 years ago) it was the M6, I was heading home to Scotland from London, and was heading towards Carlisle. There is a stretch of the road, must be about 10 miles long between a couple of hills, straight as an arrow, as you come down one you have a clear view of the road, and at 5am it was empty. :) Gary While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. I was wondering when the top bike speeds would start posting: I sprinted down a very steep hill and got up to 55mph (88.5kph) on my road bike. This was NOT SAFE as I'd been in a few crashes and my frame was misaligned. A very strong vibration started to grow in the front wheel/fork/bars before I slowed it down. It WAS fun, though :) -Justin

202 kph on Autobahn between Bonn and koeln in an Opal Vectra (i think). I dropped back to 175-180 for cruising speed. BW The Biggest Loser
