I watched last night's episode and it was good. Guys and gals, if you're not watching this show because of past poor writing I'm here to tell you that has changed. This show may very well be on its way to becoming the best Trek has ever offered on television. Yes, I said it. Go ahead, hit me with the pain sticks, but that won't stop me. Enterprise may well surpass the original series and ST:TNG in quality and story. Best, Jerry

I also really liked it (but keep the pain sticks away from me, p'tak!). They're finally showing how the Earth and Vulcan were pre-Federation, which was the original point of the show after all, but the writers just never stayed with that purpose. Too bad it took them this long to do that (and drop the silly "temporal cold war" thing). --Mike-- LINKS~! Ericahist | 1ClickPicGrabber | CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ | You Are Dumb

It is a poor comparision. As Trek television goes Enterprise is beginning to show promise equal to if not beyond its ancestors. Best, Jerry

Toasty0 wrote: It is a poor comparision Not when you compare characters and the "mood" of the film. Archer isn't half the captain Jean-Luc is/was :) However, I agree with you on that season 4 is starting out much better than the previous 2 seasons. I thought season 1 was good, but it went downhill from there. I also hope that Scott Bakula will mature as an actor too. Sometimes he feels a little bit too "stiff". Just listen to his voice when he's making his point to the crew or talking to the vulcan high council, and you'll know what I mean. -- Weiter, weiter, ins verderben. Wir müssen leben bis wir sterben. Perhaps that'll help the show to stay on course. One thing that bothers me a lot with Enterprise is that there's a lot of n-part episodes (where n > 2). It's as if they don't know how to make good use of 45 minutes. -- Weiter, weiter, ins verderben. Wir müssen leben bis wir sterben. I blog too now[^]

Argh. You know, when I'm too tired to keep definite and indefinite articles apart, I should should be *WHAP*ed with a stick on my head. :-D I meant of course from the writing work. (Although, I think I could omit the word work as writing is implicitly work. For some at least. :)) -- Weiter, weiter, ins verderben. Wir müssen leben bis wir sterben. I blog too now[^]
