Haven't used .plan since university ... and even then, only a handfull people knew it existed ... and most of today's .plan are useless, as more people have web pages to put that sort of things... Max.

In Unix you could create a .plan file, and when someone finger'd you (a unix command - ooh-err!) it would display the .plan file. It was just a neat way of quickly checking out who was doing what. cheers, Chris Maunder
