I don't want to compare differences in files. I have 2 dirs which are supposed to be identical in structure. Unfortunately, one of them has 8 files fewer than the other one :-( I wanna locate those missing 8 files and don't wanna go through 250 folders/4000 files. Any help is appreciated. Nish

Okay, so the problem was solved, but I have to mention WinMerge which is open source. It is 1000 times better than WinDiff in my experience. WinMerge[^]

Try ExamDiffPro, far better than WinDiff. http://www.prestosoft.com/ps.asp?page=edp_examdiffpro[^]

You could also try KDiff3[^], which allows you to do 3 way differencing and merging (and it's free). Derek Lakin. Salamander Software Ltd. The Add-in Zone blog: Digital Thoughts bliki: Derek's Bliki
