I took a look around. My favorite right now is the Matlab icon. Simple and neat. The worst is the realplayer 10 (I need it to stream Indian music) which sucks just as bad as the actual product. Hmm.. I got this link a couple of days ago[^] (can't remember who gave it to me, sorry, whoever you are for not giving you credit!). So far it has worked well for audio streams. Some Indian music is cool - not to mention the videos which range from hilarious to "man, did you see the hips on that chick?" :-D And I also like western music influenced by Indian music (as well as Arabic, Chinese and Celtic music). Sadly, there's too little fusion between different music cultures. It was part of a cultural festival. It was real great fun doing it. As you say, there's no one that really studies two branches of music and tries to integrate it. I like the Office 2003 icons. They may not be 16,000 colours and animated to look like a DVD but they are nice and clean and straightforward.

I've tried it too and it has worked for both video and audio. Way better then the "real" thing.
I can imagine the sinking feeling one would have after ordering my book, only to find a laughably ridiculous theory with demented logic once the book arrives - Mark McCutcheon

Wow, this looks cool I have to check it out. I'm already using QuickTime alternative which allows me to play MOV files in media player, much better than the QuickTime player asking you to purchase the full version everytime it's started. For Arabic/English fusions, check out:
- Sting's "Desert Rose"
- James Brown and Hakim's "Leila"
- and Aerosmith (I believe) has a song influenced by Arabic music)
