How to make life more intreasting
-
Hi Everybody, :sigh::confused::mad: How to make our life intreasting. We have become like ants going to office and coming back home. Our work shedules are tight we have to work for atleast 10 to 12 hours a day. Now you can Imagine why I am calling us ants. bbye If you have faith in the cause and the means and in God, the hot Sun will be cool for you.
I work 30 hours a week, goto school full-time which leaves me with 15 hours of class-time per week + homework/assignments + study group + extra studying and about 10 hours a week on commute atleast. But, I still find time to make 'fun time' in my life. Currently, my guilty-pleasure of choice is after-hour clubs on weekends, nothing like taking a nap after work for a few hours, waking up at 3am to be at the club for 5am, stumbling home finnaly early in the afternoon and sleeping the rest of the day :) I try and cram as much homework as possible into 2 or 3 weeknights a week, leaving a few hours free at night on the other nights for either social time out with friends, or 'me time' where I just stay home and relax and read or watch TV.

Find some hobbies, get out of the house, learn to play an instrument, join a club, join a gym, hang out at a local coffee house, write a book, read a book, go hiking, learn to cook, go jogging, start a garden, buy a camera, whatever it takes. Find something new to do. For Pete's sake man leave the office earlier! anything over 50 hrs. is way too much. It's plain not healthy, and you miss out on the other cool stuff there is around you. BW

Could be, but I honestly don't think most people are very productive beyond that. Not over any extended period at least. BW

I read at least two - usually more - books a week.I play guitar in a little pickup jazz band 2 nights a week. I deliver meals on wheels 2 Saturdays a month. My wife and I go to garage sales and antique stores once or twice a month ( seldom buy anything but we keep looking ). In the summer we go to the lake and off road events - hell I wish the week was a bit longer. Never bored. Something I have been doing for years now that works even more effectively than taking up a new hobby (if I wanted to do it I would have found it by now) or exercising regularly (I'm as fit as I need to be already), and that is manual labour. Plan a big DIY project, build a kit car, replant your garden. Do something so physically draining for a week every six months or so that by the time it's over you'll be looking forward to your boring office life. A 12 hour day would be a vacation in the caribbean for a lot of us.

-Days of the NewAmen! I know from experience working, and scheduling workers for long weeks that productivity diminishes rapidly above 40 hours a week. And, although I've never had the luxury of scheduling workers for less than 40, I've observed that the hourly level of production drops after about 30 hours per week. Every (mature, self-motivated, responsible) worker I've known can accomplish more in 2 hours without distractions from coworkers and customers than in 8 - 10 hours in a "normal" working environment. That's why I've always tried to go to work early, or stay late. Almost all of the time between is wasted. A train stops at a train station; a bus stops at a bus station. On my desk I have a workstation...
