You mean "Why are people in Iraq setting off bombs to kill Iraqi civilians, Iraqi security forces, and Americans?" In the audiotape, a speaker identifying himself as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi - the leader of Iraq's al-Qaida affiliate - called candidates running in the elections "demi-idols" and said those who vote for them "are infidels." "We have declared a fierce war on this evil principle of democracy and those who follow this wrong ideology," the speaker said. "Anyone who tries to help set up this system is part of it" - a clear warning to both candidates and those who choose to vote. http://apnews.myway.com//article/20050123/D87PTPD80.html[^] Because democracy is incompatible with extremist views that Muslim people should be under a caliphate-ruled theocracy. ----------------------------------------------------- Empires Of Steel[^]

the reason is because America needs something to talk about. Bush went to war so that people could engage in the lovely passtime of Bush Bashing and watching Farenhiet 9/11 He decided to continue bombing because people still love Bush Bashing it pisses people off Moore needs more ideas for his propaganda ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO MICROSOFT! Maybe you should ask why people are willing to brutalize each other to prevent the majority of the people in Iraq from having a say in their lives and their country's future. I can answer the question for you.... because Al Zarquawi and his kind would rather live under a totalitarian dictatorship than democracy. That means they are more than willing to bomb, behead, and kidnap to have their way. Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

It was really the media trying to one-up in the whole 'reality TV' trend. :| BW

Because US troops are stationed there, withdrawing them after all remaining infrastructure is shattered is likely to result in prolonged post-war-chaos, and would leave the US with no win but a whacko dictator replaced by another, the troops need to be defended, and dropping weapons of major destruction is integral part of any "modern" US warfare.

Since you ask, I'll tell you: You recorded a a shockingly inaccurate application for a video dating service over the episode of Family Ties where Mallory brings home her new boyfriend to meet her family but Steven and Elyse are shocked by his crude appearance and gruff manner. So I'm still a little pissed.

You're assuming I meant to do anything but plagarize "Family Guy" and "TV Tome?" I thought everyone would pick up on the Family Guy reference first thing, but I suppose I was too obscure. But, yeah, good job using Google. That's, uh, that's dedication for you. Yeah. :-D

Yeah, "Family Guy," it's a show that often does non-sequiters with references to 80's TV shows. I had just watched the one where Peter chooses the theme for the float contest to be "that episode of Different Strokes where Alex sees Emma in the shower" or something like that. Also, I used "Family Ties" because I don't remember any other TV shows from the 80s. Like I said, obscure. ;P

You think that was inappropriate? You must spend a lot of time being shocked by network TV.

What is "network TV"? The name sounds like a web broadcasting station. Is is somethink like ShoutCast with video? Never heard of it. _________________________________ Vote '1' if you're too lazy for a discussion

it also depends when you ask. the pro-war gang has gone through several reasons over the last 22 months. i'm not sure what the latest post-facto rationale is. Image Toolkits | Image Processing | Cleek

Man, you're actually getting downvoted for stating a fact! "After all it's just text at the end of the day. - Colin Davies "For example, when a VB programmer comes to my house, they may say 'does your pool need cleaning, sir ?' " - Christian Graus
