Printing digital 'stitch' photos
-
I've got a lovely 180 degree panorama looking over Goodwood & the South Downs (England), and I thought it would make a really cool photo to have hanging on the stairs - It's probably about 10 or 12 photos all stitched together, and I figured it would be pretty interesting to gaze at as you walked up the stairs. My folks have a panorama of an All-Stars baseball game, and it's fascinating - I quite often find myself stranded on their stairs gazing at it. :) Does anyone know of anywhere I could get this printed out so I could have it framed? I've been looking for places, but so far I've drawn a blank. UK would be best, but I guess anywhere would be a start? Has anyone else done anything like this Thanks alot!

Epson do panoramic paper & roll paper for some of their inkjet printers for this type of thing - I have some on my wall.

Your best bet is to find a custom or "hand" printshop in your area. Something pro photographers use. The pharmacy photo printers won't manage that size and while online is convenient you might get something you don't want in the post and then it becomes a pain to sort out. Do you have it online? I would love to see it :) regards, Paul Watson South Africa The Code Project Pope Pius II said "The only prescription is more cowbell. "

How large do you want it printed? I have an Epson 1270 which has made me some very nice prints and is capable of printing up to 13" x 44" I've never printed anything that large but I'd be willing to give it a shot if you like. I'd have to send it rolled in a tube though. Just let me know via my hotmail account (theflyingtinman) where I can get the image, how big you want it, what paper (glossy photoquality or matt, etc) and where to send it if you'd like me to give it a try. I'll try and get it online... I just need to find somewhere to store it :-O I'll let you all know when I've got it up there! Thanks for your help, everyone! Steve T, I'll drop you a mail when I've got it up there. It'll probably be a zip file in a storage area somewhere I'd imagine. At the moment, I've got no idea how big it is! I'd appreciate you even just looking at it, and seeing how feasible it is - I have no expectations on what you can do, obviously!

Thanks Steve - I'll get on to you as soon as I've managed to get it up there! As I replied to Paul, I'd just love you to have a look at it, and let me know what you think about printing it out - it might not be good enough quality for instance! Hey, if you like it, you're more than welcome to it! Thanks again Tom
