Does anyone else use this Anti Virus program? - I have been using it for about 2 years, and have always wondered about it, as it is so unobtrusive. - Other AV apps are normally obtrusive to me, but I guess a lot of users like the percieved value of the AV app working. Regardz Colin J Davies The most LinkedIn CPian (that I know of anyhow) :-)

My family and most of my friends also use it, and haven't complained so far.

When I used it on my machine it would never acutally delete any infected files. It would would say it deleted them but never actually did.

I've enjoyed using Computer Associates' Ez-Trust product for many years. It's effective, and it doesn't pop up any obnoxious windows when it finds something ugly in my email. It just quietly deletes the problem child. It also updates itself every 8 hours without telling me about it, a feature I enjoy very much. I like tools that do their jobs without my having to manage them directly. They make my life much more simple... I've never used an anti-virus program. ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. i have it in my windows partition at home, and it seems to work. the only time i ever surf the net in windows is when i want to update antivir and windows... and then once or twice it has stopped a few viruses, trojans and worms in their tracks, before they even got to me. i loaded it on a friends computer the other day, and it picked up a whole bunch of viruses and stuff - but then he had never used and antivirus app before... i've found it works pretty well. it repairs what it can and deletes the rest, after prompting. i once used norton, and not even a month later got rid of it. it didn't work. that's when i found antivir, and i've been quite happy ever since. -- Raoul Snyman Saturn Laboratories e-mail: raoul.snyman@saturnlaboratories.co.za web: http://www.saturnlaboratories.co.za/ blog: http://blog.saturnlaboratories.co.za/ linux user: #333298
