As a die-hard trekkie who hates Enterprise, I'm glad. I hope this sends a wake-up call to Paramount. I found the current series to be sub-standard...even sub-Voyager quality. I like Janeway & Co. better than this bunch...and that's not saying much. I miss the days of TNG and DS9. Those were some quality shows.

There was speculation that a "Star Fleet Academy" was the next series - instead they did Enterprise...the one thing that is interesting is the "firsts"...transporters, phasers, photon torpedoes, Warp 5, Romulans and it seems, the origin of the Federation...I think the biggest turnoff was the Temporal Cold Wars story lines...:sigh: Steve

Good. It sucks. Though I have heard that season 4 is better, the first three seasons were terrible, which is a real shame as this series had potential. I won't miss it, especially after being totally addicted to the new "Battlestar Galactica" (which finished in the UK a few weeks ago - yes, us Brits got to see something BEFORE America!), which, IMHO, is the best Sci-Fi show since DS9. Star Trek needs a hiatus - go away for a few years, inject some new blood into the franchise and come up with something a bit special, 'cos Enterprise wasn't the answer (though I shall watch the Brent Spiner arc if Sky One decides to air season 4 in the UK, as I heard this was worth a look).

Frankly, I'm not fond of Enterprise. The season 2 is aired for the moment, and I can't stand it. It's the most US-centric show of all the ST series, and the level of the scenarios hardly reaches the ones of Walker Texas Ranger, which are for me a standard metre to judge the stupidity of a TV show :suss: So, good riddance.

No great loss. The best I can say for the series is that it was interesting as science fiction, though certainly never compelling. "The Yahoos refused to be tamed."

True, but technically, they screwed up by showing the Romulans to Archer when the first glimpse of them was in Kirk's time which surprized even Spock. Also, I missed a few episodes, but I can't recall when they decided to use the teleportation device without care and what reason they gave. I know they used it at first only in emergencies, but they never explained why they changed their minds and deemed it safe. Last of all, they started the entire series with time-travel. It's bad enough they did that in ST:TNG and ST:V. But to start a series based on time travel, please. I personally would have like to see Enterprize C as a series and see Tasha Yar make a comeback. :) "For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you would never have considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence." - Q (Star Trek: The Next Generation) ^ Blog

I for one am disappointed. I enjoyed this season's episodes much more than the Temporal Cold War and the Xindi, etc. Maye someone other network will pick it up.

I was looking forward to the development of all the characters and the story leading up to Kirk and Spock.

Last gasp of a desperate writing team! That'll have to involve time travel too, which is something they have done to death.

Really, the best? I hope Battlestar Galactica gets better. So far I find it very boring, but I'll be watching it tonight. IMHO Babylon 5 was the best Sci-Fi show on TV since the 90s.
