What's the smallest area everyone in the world could fit into? Standing side by side in tight rows, the planets 6.1 billion souls would occupy 512 square miles, based on each person having a tight, but not suffocating, 0.26 yards. The Faroe Islands are 540 square miles, so everybody could easily fit on to them with 28 square miles free for hot dog vans, portaloos and a lost property tent. - Peter Scott, Readers Digest, June 2001 What's you're most interesting piece of information? ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group, there was less competition there" - Gandhi

With a neutron star you could get them into the size of a sugar cube, but of course this would be more than suffocating..

The singularity of a black hole would be a tad more compact though. You can't get much more compact than infinite density. :) Simon Nobody does chicken like MFC Sonork ID 100.10024

Apparently the entire human race could fit inside Loch Ness. Lawyers first.....:-D Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

I'm sure there are enough IMTs to fill five Loch Ness's. ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. If you could fit the whole human race into a black hole, we'd have other problems besides how interesting it was... :suss: -Jason nirgle.bitdevil.com SonorkID: 100.12194
