Recovery BIOS password

Hi, My friend using compaq laptop. He has setup a password before boot the computer and password to protect the BIOS. And now he forget the password. We recovery the password again?? Can we destroy the password in order to be able to change the BIOS configuration or boot the computer???

Ya. you cant recover your setp password(as of what i know). You have only 1 option left with u i.e remove ur CMOS batterry for a minute & then re-place it there & reboot. You can even change the CMOS battery. Its cheap around 40-50$
Thank you very much for your information. As far as I know that for the desktop computer we could change the CMOS battery or change the jumper setting based on the mainboard configuration. But for this case, it is the laptop computer. So I don't know how to remover the battery of the CMOS from the laptop. Do you have any more comment???

Thank you very much for your information. As far as I know that for the desktop computer we could change the CMOS battery or change the jumper setting based on the mainboard configuration. But for this case, it is the laptop computer. So I don't know how to remover the battery of the CMOS from the laptop. Do you have any more comment???

i dont know exactly but there is is one key_button like ctrl+p which breaks the cmos password i am not sure & also as per my knowledge it is suitable for the personal computer

I got my Dell bios master password and Hard Drive (HDD) master password. They also do this for HP, Compaq, Fujitsu, Acer, Sony and Samsung laptops and desktops. Just go to http://www.mastermindit.biz/freedellbios.html Send your Dell model and service tag and they will email back your bios master password and or HDD master password for your Dell computer.
