How many of you have had any luck with Mono in Linux, and what distribution did you try it on? "Your coding practices might be buggy, but your code is always right." Internet::WWW::CodeProject::bneacetp N-Tech Productions http://www.n-tp.com/

Got it working fine on Mandrake and Redhat. Had a bit of difficulty with Suse, and gave up. Funny really, knowing Suse is owned by Novell as well. Found the easiest thing to do was just complile it from source. Have never got the WinForms working though. Just too many dependencies spread over too many sites. Go bored after the coming across the 15th missing dependency, and was only 1/4 the way though the main packages on the mono site.

I used Monoppix, its a Knoppix distro with Mono built in. Its an older version of both, but its nice to be able to just boot from a CD or an iso into VirtualPC and be able to play with Mono in Linux. Monoppix[^] Steve Maier, MCSD MCAD
