Exactly. It isn't that his logic is flawed per se, but to accept his conclusion(s) one must first accept his logical foundations. It is those foundations that I believe are sometimes rooted in a premise that are, to my mind, failures to accept humanities base desires and motivations. don't know anything about his political writing, though i'm told he represents me and that i'm responsible for every thing he says. from what i've read, his reputation as a linguist is a pretty strong one, though his theories are falling out of favor these days. He's a good read. If they put his essays on the Opinion page of the local paper, i'd probably read it more often. I wouldn't care to make any general statements of agreement/disagreement though. Let's just leave it as "more entertaining than 'Friends', on par with 'Seinfeld'"... ;)
