Has anyone gone through Costco to get their merchant account setup? I believe it is actually through Nova, but the rates seem incredible. Please share your experiences! http://www.costco.com/Service/FeaturePage.aspx?ProductNo=10166089[^] If you have a merchant account from somewhere else, and feel they are worth recommending, please share that also ;-) And, if you wouldn't mind, share what rates you are getting and what gateway you use. Depends what your needs are. For me, the merchant tools that come with my PayPal Business account are pretty good. Offers shopping cart, email invoicing etc. Virtually all credit cards are accepted or people can pay using their own PayPal account (so they can pay through their chequing account if they want). I haven't used the shopping card - I use the invoicing feature for clients that want to pay by credit card. So far so good. Oh, rates: 2.9%, $0.55 per transaction unless you have at least $3000 per month of sales then the rates drop significantly. Cheers, Drew.

I don't know anything about Costco in particular, but you should really look at purchasing a payment/subscription system such as aMember[^]. Since the payment processors are available via plug-ins (many processors available), you can switch merchant accounts without have to migrate your user database to another merchant's system. I'm in no way affiliated with this company. Jim QTExtender - The OFFICIAL addon for QuoteTracker.

Hmmm... that is another interesting route. Thanks for offering up the suggestion, I'll have to take a look at that. Rates seem a bit high though, compared to Costco (1.99% + $0.27). -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder

Thanks, I'll have a look-see. The more options, the better, at this point. -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder

Costco does stipulate a monthly minimum in order to get those rates. I wonder what it is? Cheers, Drew.

I think it is $20. -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder
