I think the widest interval for a binary response will allow the highest response granuality, hence I chose 1..5. /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Articles | Freeware | Music ravib@ravib.com

Surveys on CP are problematic. The higher a voter's CP status (i.e. Bronze - Platinum) the more weight his/her vote carries. Gary Kirkham Forever Forgiven and Alive in the Spirit He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. - Jim Elliot Me blog, You read

I would vote 5, unless the event drove you (pun intended) to buy an SUV. :) /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Articles | Freeware | Music ravib@ravib.com

The young lady was more of a pilot than a driver - she said her shoe laces got tangled together and she was not able get to the brakes...the vehicle hit the drivers door and continued up to almost the roof (I could clearly see the left front tire under well) and came back down hitting the left rear fender...if it wasn't for the fact that I wear glasses, I would have had shards of glass in my eyes as well as my face when all of the left side windows exploded inward. Crazy SOBs... ;P (actually, i don't care much what you drive - as long as you don't shine your headlights in my back window or throw gravel into my windshield. SUVs are a whole lot better than those stupid, jacked-up pickups in my book.)

Nope. My car is simply a commuter vehicle, so driving a big a** SUV would be a complete and utter waste of gas and money for me. When I get to the point where I actually NEED one, for say, hauling around really big dogs and a pair of jet ski's (:-D), THEN I'll buy one, but not just because it "looks cool". Most software engineers I know are of the view that driving an SUV (other than for true off-roading) is highly illogical. I was curious where the larger community of CPians stood. /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Articles | Freeware | Music ravib@ravib.com

I know it's just symantics, however I believe that there has been an attempt to demonize the SUV in the media. It is like the SUV has a mind of it's own and the mind is evil. I only half agree with you. SUVs are DIFFERENT from regular automobiles - yet no special license, training, etc. is really in place for people who buy them. So you get a lot of people who don't really know how to drive them, but do anyway. Also, SUVs are not always designed to be friendly towards other automobiles... their lights and bumpers are higher, for instance. The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
