AOL are just jealous because IE recognises complex html tags such as <font> and <br>. Simon Nobody does chicken like MFC Sonork ID 100.10024

Didn't they say they have abandoned browser development?

Let's hope to god they have, for the sake of all the poor newbie net users who have to put up with AOL's browser. Hell, you may be able to train a pack of monkeys to use it, but even the monkeys themselves would probably tell you it's a piece of sh*t. Simon Nobody does chicken like MFC Sonork ID 100.10024

The insistence on making Microsoft less of a threat in the market will only hurt the computer industry, not help it. Basically what they're saying to MS is "Don't make any improvements to your products until everyone else catches up." Great. So what are we the public supposed to do in the mean time? Punishing a company for innovation is just a bad idea all around. It reminds me of how the Catholic Church only recently "let Galileo out of hell" for claiming the earth was round. He was punished for innovation as well. Let's hope it doesn't take a few hundred years for the world to figure out MS is on the right track.... X| Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

This is stupid lawsuit, because Netscape was dead when AOL bought it - so.... AOL is suing to "recover" losses it never sustained. Point in fact AOL bought Netscape for less because of the fact that IE had aleady hammered them.
