Thanks to an automatic credit report whenever someone does a check on me, I found out someone bought a cell phone under my name. Also received a "Thank You for purchasing a wireless product" postcard in the mail. I have never dealt with that company, never will. I deal with their chief competitor. Called up the company and found out buddy lives in another province with (allegedly) the same name, and had them freeze the account. I won't get a bill, and fraud investigation has begun. My stomach is in ulcer overdrive. Don't need this. X| Top 10 Geek Resulutions: 5. I just finished with fraud investigation dept. Seems someone put in the wrong address. Well duh. Resolved now. I feel a little sorry for the person who lost cell phone use for a half hour today, but I wasted half my day chasing people on the phone. Next time READ THE PAPERWORK before you sign.

This happened to my brother once. The credit card company switched his address with another man. The other man spent around $10,000 on a trip that ended up on my brothers bill. Everything was lagit, no fraud. The CC company resolved the issue quickly. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.
