Can anyone recommend a good "web meeting" or "web demo" application like GoToMeeting or WebEx? I find those a little bit too expensive for our use. We are mainly looking to present our software over the web to prospect customers, and offer training to our actual clients. VNC is an option, but it's always a pain in the neck to configure for the customer. Thanks!

Would NetMeeting work? You can use voice, whiteboard and app sharing (works with recorded demos as well as live demos). It's so simple once installed to use, you just need to include links in your help files, sales e-mails, etc, like callto:home.davidwulff.me.uk.

I didn't try NetMeeting because all I can remember of it is that it was a pain in the neck to use! Maybe it has improved... but back in the days, I hated it. Do you know how well it works behind firewalls? Thanks!

That sounds somewhat familiar. I had to set it up so calls could come in through my firewall but don't recall any problems with other machines not on the network. (I expect that changed when the Windows Firewall came about.) Dunno why you got voted a 1 for that?
