All the Aussies go mad, drink lots (ok, even MORE than usual, if that is possible) and generally do daft things in the name of their country. As far as I know it is "positioned" at this time because of the GALLIPOLI debacle which happened in WW1. I watched the movie last night, pretty tragic stuff (though Mel Gibson aged 20 was hilarious!) It is only Aussie day tomorrow here in London (Chris is always early.) I am staying with a couple of Aussies and the last few days have been an alternating pantomime of sobbing about the tragic event, drinking, singing and dancing in celebration of Australia, drinking and then more sobbing. Followed by outright London Aussie warfare tomorrow. I think that Bob is not an Alien, may be is an Ireland Gnomo.... Best Regards and Happy day for Australian people!!! And not too long ago several of you Aussies were trying to convince me that you are not a very patriotic lot. Now we know the truth... "Thank you, thank you very much" Elvis.
