Hi, We have just received this e-mail from a possible customer: Has your software ever been verified against other certified software to show that it gives identical data in processing? If so, is it possible to obtain documents certifying this? It appears that this company has ISO certifications (ISO-9002 certification and ISO-17025 accreditation). I could easily validate our app to show that it gives the same results as other equivalent apps, but I believe we will need some sort of official certification. Could anyone shed some light on this? Thanks, Carlos

ISO9002 is a general quality standard although it has some software specific sections. The main question is - what level of certification do you need ? If you are ISO9001 registered then follow your procedures and document fully. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

It would be wonderful if they require responses identical to Oracle Receivables! It couldn't multiply unit price by number of units to come up with the correct total price to the customer! (It might have changed now.) How stupid can people get! :omg:

I haven't the fantiest idea. They just require my software to be validated against another previously verified software and gives the same results. We are not ISO9001. Actually we don't have any quality certificate. Cheers, Carlos

I think ISO 9002 is now obsolete so he can't be certified to it!

No - they may have been ISO 9002 certified but their certification is now obsolete so they are no longer certified to ISO 9002. See Here[^]
