Don't you just hate programs that have little faggot UI's like that? I mean, what happened to the squared-off windows with easily identifiable menus and buttons? Why do we have to be subjected to non-standard graphical extravaganzas implemented at the expense of a standard interface? Bullshit, I say. It's just bullshit. You've been so quiet these last couple of weeks that I almost missed those special little manerisms of yours ;) cheers, Chris Maunder

Have you ever noticed that the only time I post is when something upsets me? :) You can expect an increased number of messages from me while I'm in the throes of restoring my system to its past glory. ... Corel Bryce 5! I've been through all the tutorials, I've read the equivalent of five bibles, and I still couldn't find the menu bar till I accidentally knocked my mouse onto the top of the screen and "bang" then it appeared. Okay, so the rest of the interface is like winamp on steroids - not very good or intuitive, but you can use it after a few weeks - but having an auto hiding menu bar that only displays after almost 2 seconds is bloody stupid. I was about to accept the fact that I had to end the program manually through task manager each time... ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. LOL Yeah, it's like MS Encarta and Autoroute with the Exit command on the Options menu... Cheers, Peter Pearson

Errr, risking being battered to death with a softail here but in Bryces case they are justified in the weird interface. Much like Truespace have a non-standard but perfect for the job interface. I agree that other "boring" apps should stick to Office and Windows standards. But specialist apps sometimes need to do something different to make it workable. Once I got the hang of Truespace it was a brilliant interface :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Martin Marvinski wrote: Unfortunatly Deep Throat isn't my cup of tea Do you Sonork? trueSpace has a great interface once you get the hang of it - I just wish the program wouldn't crash as much. But to be honest, maybe it's possible to say that about any program? Once you've got used to it, you may like it. Last year I was using some software that was produced for Win 3.11 in 1994. When you ticked a checkbox, another dialog came up with futher sub options - annoying at first, but you got used to it. It also didn't bother disabling controls - when you clicked them a message box displayed telling you the control was disabled - fantastic stuff :) Cheers, Peter Pearson

Maybe I should have said: After a day of using Truespace I absolutely addored the interface and found it to be the most productive 3d app interface I had ever tried. It was truly revolutionary and ground breakingly good. :) IMHO if an interface is weird but bad then I will never love it. If it is weird but good, then I grow to love it. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Martin Marvinski wrote: Unfortunatly Deep Throat isn't my cup of tea Do you Sonork? HintiFlo wrote: What is TrueSpace? It is a "low end" 3D app. Much like 3D Studio Max, but without the hefty price tag. You can create 3D models, animate and texturise them etc. TrueSpace is actually quite powerful, and a lot of fun :) HintiFlo wrote: (please don't shoot me for not knowing, hail me!)
