http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/05/06/finger.fight.ap/index.html[^] Summary: * Employee has the tip of his finger accidentally cut off at a desert shopt. * Finger falls into custard that is sold to customer * Customer returns to store making threats of lawsuits and bad publicity * When asked to return the finger so that it could be reattached to the injured party, customer refuses thinking that if he gives it up, it might hurt his chances of getting a large civil suit finding :( Cheers, Tom Archer - Archer Consulting Group

He refused to give it to the shop's owner, and refused to give it to a doctor who was treating Fizer, who accidentally stuck his hand in a mixing machine and had his right index finger lopped off at the first knuckle. A careless world??? :) I think i'll accidently stick a fork in the light socket :-> and then sue GE or some manufactuer of light bulbs... Thats pretty gross to find a finger in ice cream...I wouldn't be to willing to give it back either... 1) A finger shouldn't be in my food 2) Ice cream maker should have shut everything down immediately and found the finger 3) Ice cream boy should be more careful next time...his finger NOT mine... 4) I'd want a big money lawsuit too... Maybe i'm just inhumane...but i'm siding with the guy after big money :) Just my 2 cents It's frustrating being a genius and living the life of a moron!!!

                1. You could talk pictures of the finger, and then give it back. 2. Suing for the right reasons is one thing, but suing because it's a lazy way to make money is disgusting. Being grossed out is not the worst thing in life. Do you sue your friends for telling gross jokes? Jeremy Falcon

According to the doctors at the hospital it could be reattached. In fact they called him to ask for the digit to at least try. Cheers, Tom Archer - Archer Consulting Group

Especially as he admitted to going to McDonald's. I saw a TV program about the production process and I'm never eating there again.

If the finger finder can sue for finding the finger, the finger loser should sue the finger finder for theft of finger...after all the loser did not sell or give the tip away... Steve

I think he took your sig as part of the message. "Cheers" It can be misread. I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.
