Yes the number of members really took off after CP changed policy so you had to register to download code. I've been tracking the number of articles as an alternative, that is approaching 10,000. But even a latecomer like me, member #27953, is an early adopter with 2 million members. :) Neil Van Eps "Staging servers are for compulsive bed-wetting types." - Chris Maunder

Beats me, I'm either 5 hundred or 5 thousand and something. I used to use Code Guru, although it was largely crap in comparison ( yes, I know Chris was involved in both ). I bailed on CG the day I found CP. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

I too started with CodeGuru, found it lacking in something difficult to define, and jumped here when I saw the quality of the code and its presentation. I'm not even much of a programmer, and probably never will be, but the difference was obvious. Many thanks for your work on the Project - it's added much to my life. 54,643 to go... is there a pool I can get into for picking the date and time we cross the mark?:-D Boredom, Bull$^%&, Baggage, Bar - all start with 'B'

I'm 1363. I can't image what Code Projet must have been like back then. Many people I thought I've been talking to since the beginning didn't have accounts until after me. I set all my PIN numbers to my CP id until I found an even easier number to remember. No I won't tell you the new one. ;P
