        OK, I tried again from Microsoft, and it's sitting pretty steady on 680KB/s now. Not too shabby :cool:

            I've finally managed to upgrade from 56k to ADSL. A blistering 6.5Mb/s :cool: I can almost download links before I click on them :~ I think I might do download the internet just to see how long it takes :rolleyes:

                      this method has the added advantage of not requiring a diskette. you just store the result in your mind... (reminds me of the guy who "sent 5000 GIGABYTES in ZERO seconds" or something to that effect... :)) - Indivara

                        Wow!!! I just got 2913 kpbs downstream!! :omg: Other tries consistently reporting about 800 kbps downstream and 220 upstream :( which is more or less fine for 1024/512 I'm supposed to have. -- LuisR

                              Acrobat Reader has solved this problem for me - kind of. When I click any PDF file, A**Reader starts up and terminates immediately. It works only if I started an A**Reader instance separately without document.
